Google Calendar integration Terms of Service / Privacy Policy

Users of hBook may choose to authorise hBook to access their Google Calendar account. This authorisation is optional and may be revoked at any time as described below. Authorisation will enable the creation of new calendar events, the modification of existing events, and the deletion of events in your Google Calendar. 

DATA ACCESS:

If you choose to authorise the hBook to access your Google Calendar, we may collect and store the following data:

– Profile info to be able to show the connected Google Account

– Email of the connected Google Account to access Google Calendar

– Name to show the connected Google Account in UI

– CalendarId to save new events or modify/delete previously created events

– EventId of created events to enable later modification/deletion of events

hBook will never access/synchronise any other events than events created by hBook.

DATA STORAGE:

Data is stored in an encrypted database. 

– Profile name for show in UI

– CalendarId to be able to save/modify/delete events

– Email for show in UI

DATA USAGE:

Data is used only to create new events or to modify or delete events created by hBook. Data is not used in any way by hBook.

A new event will contain the following information:

– Title: Customer name

– Description: Booking number

– Start date/time: Arrival date at 12 AM UTC

– End date/time: Departure date at 12 AM UTC

– Timezone: Europe/Copenhagen

DATA SHARING:

hBook will never share any data related to a user’s Google Calendar with third parties.

DATA PROTECTION:

Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. 

All data is encrypted at rest and in storage. Data is visible only to users you created in your own hBook-connected property.

DATA RETENTION AND STORAGE:

We will retain personal data (email address and name for UI purposes only) until the Google Calendar integration connection is terminated or the hBook subscription is cancelled, at which time all data is automatically deleted. The user can terminate the Google Calendar integration at any time by clicking the red button in Google Calendar settings.
